Theft From Motor Vehicles - PORCHESTER ROAD, KINGSTON UPON THAMES, KT1

Dear Resident,

The following incident occurred on Tuesday 9th September 2025 on PORCHESTER ROAD, KINGSTON UPON THAMES, KT1.Victim returned back from school run on foot and decided to get jacket inside their vehicle and found a white male age between 30 - 35 of age, mid sat in front passenger side looking all around the vehicle. Soon as unknown suspect saw victim, victim shouted at him and suspect ran off.

Key Advice

Take your property with you: Remove all personal belongings, bags, and valuable items from the vehicle.

Recommend removing valuables: If you must leave something, don't leave it on display. Hide it in the boot or a secure, locked compartment.

Remove sat-navs: Take sat-navs and their holders with you, as even the suction mark on the windscreen can attract thieves.

Secure tools: If using a vehicle for work, such as a van with tool chests, use cable locks, padlocks, and self-locking tool chests to secure them to the vehicle.

Don't leave items in the boot: Even items left in the boot of your car are at risk of being stolen.

Remove work equipment: Do not leave work or business-related equipment in your vehicle, especially overnight.
